Abstract

Tabs are additional pages on either Homebases or Spaces that can contain Fidgets and/or iFrames (which are also a fidget). Tabs take the awesome power of Homebases, Spaces, and Fidgets, and multiply it. When a user runs out of space for Fidgets on their space or homebase, they can purchase additional Tab(s) to increase their tab allowance. Tab allowance can be represented by transferrable, delegatable fungible tokens, and tab allowance can be utilized for tabs on either Homebases or Spaces.

NOTE: Let’s save tabs for last, and get everything working on single tabs first. Tab allowances and NFTs can also come post MVP because at first all users will be nOGs holders and will have unlimited tab allowance for life without needing to hold tab NFTs.

Revenues

  1. Nounspace will earn .011 ETH/tab from power users that want to add more than 1 tab to their Homebase or Space. This is particularly valuable for users who are involved with many communities and/or users who actively utilize a variety of web3 usecases (ie. Art/Music/Writing NFTs, DeFi, Governance, Buidling, News, etc.). The more useful Fidgets that are available, and/or the more communities/users that wish to embed websites/apps on their Space or Homebase, the more likely a user will be to want to add additional tabs.

Designs

UX Idea: Replace the tabs that Warpcast has on home for ‘Home, Trending, Frames, and All channels’ and on profiles for ‘Casts, Casts + Replies, Likes, and Channels’ and replace these with the tabs that a user adds. If a user wants to display Casts + Replies, Likes, or Channels, on their Space, they can make these Fidgets.

Mobile UX Question: What’s the best way to give users easy access to multiple Fidgets within a tab on mobile? Can we have expandable rows for each fidget, with the top row expanded by default, and only enable one fidget to be expanded at a time (ie. when a user taps a fidget row to expand it, the row that was expanded prior is collapsed)?

See if we can do better than this ^

Set a default fidget per tab for Mobile.

Show side scroll menu of Fidgets at the top (can disappear when you scroll down)

When a user taps a Fidget, it takes over the full screen.

Should we do this in MVP? Give Fidget developers the ability to have Fidget previews for mobile as long as it all fits into the Fidget Thumbnail. Then if users tap it, they can get the full screen view.
